The University and Graduate School of  Religion  exists to provide understanding in the content and interpretation of the  Word of God, an in-depth biblical philosophy of Christian ministry, and detailed instruction in applied ministry skills.  Our degree and certificate programs are designed to meet the needs of the christian student, balancing academic with flexibility and value. You can work toward your goals by earning a degree or certificate part time, at the pace that complements your life style. The HCU is determined by three great central convictions: First, the Christian, as set forth in the Westminster Confession of Faith on the basis of Holy Scripture, is true; Second, the Christian requires and is capable of scholarly exposition and defense; Third, the Christian is founded upon Christian doctrine as set forth in the Word of GOD.  Our programs are designed to prepare pastors, church staff members and missionaries to preach and to teach the inerrant word of God and to win people af all cultures to Christ.Teaching is to be true to the great Christian fundamentals, including the premillennial  return of Christ.  The system of doctrine contained in the Scriptures, and expounded in the historic Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms, shall form the basis of the instruction.  The University is to show forth in the lives of its directors, faculty and students an attitude of deep consecration to the things of God; of constant dependence upon prayer, and of unceasing devotion to the task of spreading the knowledge of the saving power of Christ throughout the world.

University is to prepare and equip men and women to be Christian leaders, it is committed to the Bible as Gods Word and to the confessions and confirm the fact that they have accepted Christ as their personal Savior.  University has as its primary purpose the applicants personal qualifications, spiritual development and preparation of  odained ministers of the Christian Ministry.  The university requires confidential references from a Minister and purpose for wanting to attend HCU. Gods mission through the church also obliges the seminary to prepare persons for other types of ministry.  HCU provides specialized training in such areas as youth ministries, missions and evangelism, church education, diaconal ministries, and pastoral care and counseling.

University was founded to train men for Christian leadership in these days of widespread denial of the Word of God. The University aims to combine the highest expression of Christian scholarship with vital spiritual life.University founded with faith in God and a great conviction that there is only one Gospel and that it and it alone must be preached to the ends of the earth. The University faithfully continues to out its purpose as expressed in its Charter. It is also with all who stand uncompromisingly for the Faith once delivered to the saints.

INSTITUTIONAL STRATEGY: Biblical and doctrinal competency, spiritual maturity, communication skills and proven ministry leadership that are essential to mission effectiveness. The annual Mission Conference and regular missions chapels foster a missionary passion. Our partnership with various organizations exposes students to local and global church-renewal efforts.
